11th Annual Fayette Freeze Off

Our location, just north of Boonville and Northwest of Columbia give residents and visitors the best of both worlds. The ammenities of a large town such as Columbia and easy access to Interstate 70 through scenic downtown Boonville with its new riverboat casino while keeping our small-town values and friendliness.

Fayette Main Street, Inc. (a not-for-profit) organization sponsors the Fayette Freeze-Off Art and Music Festival to provide a family-orientated event for not only the residents of Fayette but, also for visitors from near and far.

This event is truly a one-of-a-kind festival, we strive to keep it accessible to everyone by providing all entertainment free of charge. The entertainment and art show are designed to cover a broad range of the arts and is truly a unique experience.

We are excited that you are visiting our web site. The Fayette Freeze-Off Art and Music Festival is a "one-of-a-kind" festival. One hundred years ago, it wasn't unusual for people to gather on the courthouse lawn for an ice cream social; a time for great treats, music, and socializing. We have resurrected this time-honored tradition with a modern twist. Ice cream afficionadoes come to Fayette to eat homemade ice cream and cake and to enter their favorite homemade ice cream into competition. Wait until you try our homemade ice cream and cake. There is no other festival quite like ours! As if this wasn't asking for sensory overload, we also offer an art and music festival featuring a juried art show for both amateurs and professional artists, an Old-Time Fiddlers' Competition; and, a wide variety of musical entertainment and heritage crafters. In addition, we have special entertainment and activities for our youngest visitors. The festival is set against a background of beautiful, shade trees growing on a broad expanse of green lawn which surrounds one of the most beautiful courthouses in the nation.
